Today folks is a very special day for the Winter Drake household.
Today is our sixth wedding anniversary.
My friend Katherine made the beautiful red dress for me. I tell you there was still
a prejudice six years ago about red lace. I had a couple older ladies treat me with
a bit of disdain at fabric shops when I was asking about red lace. I could not find a decent
one without special ordering. I chose a chiffon instead.
I asked Peter to marry me on the Millennium New Year's eve. I wanted to marry him because
he is kind, witty, lovely and very funny. We laugh all the time as you can see in this picture.
And there is only more laughter and love with each passing year in our lives together. Here's to sixty more years, love!
